Y-axis represents the centroid size of the specimens. The black line in each of the box represents the median centroid size of the dataset. The small circles on the graph represents outliers in the datasets and thus identify taxa with unusual skull size. This visualisation serves chiefly to illustrate outlier taxa easily; centroid sizes cannot be compared between datasets due to centroid size increasing with an increasing number of landmarks
