The numbers in front of organism names indicate the number of members of this gene family in the corresponding organism. The circles highlight the main groups of bacteria. Inside the square box, the homologs of X. axonopodis and X. fastidiosa. In (A) there is a clear distinction between the two UvrA orthologs separated by the line. In the upper part of the figure are grouped the organisms containing the second UvrA homolog, for which no function in DNA repair has yet been assigned. In (D) the names of the genes are based on annotation available.
