\({\theta }_{\mathrm{ESS}}\) as a function of temperature, light, and prey carrying capacity for specialist (blue), generalist (light brown), and linear (black) trade-off mixotrophs. Specialist mixotrophs exhibited evolutionary bistability at \({\theta }_{\mathrm{ESS}}=0\) and \({\theta }_{\mathrm{ESS}}=1\) across the temperature range simulated however mixotrophs population sizes were negative in some cases at low temperatures. The line at \({\theta }_{ESS}=1\) only shows values for which mixotroph population sizes are positive
