Mapping of “specific” BACs to the haploid chromosome set of N. coriiceps. Chromosomes were classified by their relative size. Some were recognizable by their DAPI-counterstaining patterns. Each arm corresponds to a Structural Unit (SU), with the exception of chromosome pair number 2 and 4, which contain three SUs [25]. Each SU identified by BAC labeling is represented by a unique color (Additional file 1)
