List of sequenced Orchidaceae and Bromeliaceae species, leaf carbon isotope composition (δ13C, ‰), the ratio of leaf fresh mass to dry mass (FW/DW), the leaf thickness (mm), the leaf mass per area (LMA, g m− 2) and the habitat preference according to [53]. Values of FW/DW, thickness and LMA are means ± S.E. δ13C values which were taken from bibliography are marked with a superscript letter [40a, 41b, 43c] and δ13C values without superscript were measured in the present study.
