Phylogenetic relationship of S8A serine proteases among fungal species. Amino acid sequences of S8A serine proteases were aligned by Clustal W and used to construct a phylogenetic tree using the maximum likelihood methods in MEGA ver. 6. Branch support values (bootstrap proportions ≥50%) are associated with nodes. Phylogenetic groups referred to as clade I and clade Ib are indicated, as are the S08.005 subtilisin and S08.054 proteinase K groups.
