When ejaculates of two distinct A. echinatior males are mixed in vitro, (a) a higher proportion of spermatozoa are actively motile (**** P < 0.0001), (b) sperm swim faster (*** P < 0.001), and (c) sperm move more linearly (* P < 0.05) than when motility is assessed within the same ejaculates without contact with non-own seminal fluid
