  1. The table shows mean values of cline centers and widths obtained from bootstrap samples of morphological variation (PC1) and plumage chroma for each time period based on data for male specimens. Values in parentheses correspond to the 95% confidence intervals. All values are given in kilometers, with cline centers measured as the distance along the transect from the Pacific coast extreme (Fig. 2). No confidence limit is given for the width parameter in morphology in 2010 because bootstrapping produced unrealistic parameters (see text)
