Map showing the locations of the 8 sites where C. macropterus samples were involved in this study. Qiunatong (Qnt), Geza (Gz), and Pula (Pl) were located in the up tributaries, Pihe (Ph), Chengan (Cg), Denggeng (Dg) and Liuku (Lk) were located in the mid stem, Mangliu (Ml) was located in the low tributaries. Among these localities, Gz, Pl, Cg, Dg and Ml have sampled for the constructions of RNA-seq libraries. Map was created in ArcGIS version 10.1 and modified in Microsoft Office
