The area of secondary contact between the Eastern and Interior mitochondrial DNA lineages is shaded in pink, following [11, 14]. Sampled populations are Pond Mills (PM), Fingal (FI), Starkey Hill (SH), Dereham (DE), Calton Swamp (CS), Lafortune (LA), and Long Point (LP) (see [14] for details).
