Experimental setup. Two blocks are shown, one exposed to the high radiant heat (orange dot) and one to the low radiant heat (yellow dot) treatment. Blocks are separated by dividers (Di). Each cage has its floor and two of its sides lined in green or brown paper, and each block has two cages lined with each colour.
