Genomic organizations of thioredoxin (Trx)-dependent PHGPx genes. The chromosomal structures of insect and plant genes that encode the Trx-dependent proteins were compared to each other to detect orthologous introns. The insect genes are categorized into three groups according to their conservation patterns. The symbol ยง marks the gene with the Cys motif in its encoded protein. More detail is presented in the legend to Figure 5.
