  1. Number of nests used in randomizations for males and females (mean ± SE). Two data sets were constructed in which male and female penduline tits were analyzed separately. Desertion date of nests is the number of days since 1 April in each year. U and probability (P) of Mann-Whitney tests (early versus late nests for each data set) are also provided.
