AmSoxE1 , AmSoxE2 , AmSoxF and AmSox21b are expressed in the testis of Drone honeybees. Gene-specific primers were used to detect the presence of AmSox genes in total RNA isolated from whole honeybee worker embryos and Drone testis. A negative control reaction (no reverse transcriptase added to the cDNA synthesis) was performed for each set of oligonucleotide pairs to detect contamination from genomic DNA.
