The linear order of genes is that in the standard gene arrangements, and the chromosomal regions covered by inversions segregating in the thermal stocks are indicated (labelled on the right-hand side next to the segments; overlapping inversions underlined). Inversions O₅ and O₇ were also sporadically found but are ignored here: the first is associated to a lethal gene and the second is probably the result of a recombination event in the O₃₊₄₊₇/O_st heterokaryotype [16]).
