Although the repeat unit of the Huge Repeat Array spans at least 500 k (see Figure 8), it also contains an internal repeat with a unit length of ~220k, containing copies of Ssty1, Asty and Sly. Visible (ringed) is a small deletion in one of the repeat units, which has deleted the first two exons of the Ssty1 copy located in the region.
