  1. In all cases, the local topology of clades found in the Bayesian tree of protein sequences was retained and interrelationships between the sequences/clades specified were rearranged. Branchlengths and site likelihoods were optimized using PAML and the AU test implemented in the software CONSEL was applied. Topologies excluded by the AU test are marked with an asterisk.
