Unrooted neighbor joining tree illustrating the relationship among H. ovalis populations in the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean. The tree was based on pair wise Slatkin’s distances [41] and implemented in package Phylip version 3.5 [44]. The consensus tree was created using FigTree version 1.3.1 [45], edited and displayed in MEGA5.2 [46]. Abbreviations as in Table 1.
