Effects of salinity on shell strength in barnacles from different populations (Stockholm, Kiel and Tjärnö) that were grown in different salinity treatments (mean ± SE, n = 4). Shell strength was standardised by dividing the force required to break the shell (in MPa) by the maximum shell diameter of each barnacles.
