NA, northern Australia; SEA, south-eastern Australia; SWA, south-western Australia. The ‘zero’ extinction rate is the auto-optimized estimate (4.285 × 10-9 Myr-1). Node numbers correspond to those in Figure 2a; the range pair depicted in Figure 2d reports the best pair descending from each node (e.g., node 1 to 2 and 1 to 3) at the auto-optimized rate.
