  1. A two-by-two table is generated based on the spore coat location for proteins and their orthologous profile. The “conserved” coat protein genes are those with orthologous in all of the four species in the B. cereus-group, as shown in Figure 2. The “labile” coat protein genes are those with at least one missing orthologous hit in the B. cereus-group.
