Serpulaceae phylogeny. The 50% majority rule consensus tree from a Bayesian analysis of a concatenated data set consisting of parts of nuclear ribosomal SSU, LSU, and 5.8S, the second largest subunit of the RNA polymerase II (rpb2), and the translation elongation factor 1α (tef 1). Bayesian posterior probabilities (above branches) of more than 0.9 and parsimony Jackknife values (below branches) above 50% are superimposed on the phylogenetic tree. Saprotrophic taxa are in brown whereas ECM taxa are in green with a shaded green box.
