  1. 40,000 people is an historical estimation for 1632 AD and we have made estimation for different steps: the beginning of the 9th century, which is a period of an important Mongolo-Turkish expansion with some contacts between these populations and Yakutia [1], 1294 AD which corresponds to the disintegration of the Mongol Empire with the dispersion of many nomad groups, and 1400 AD, a date prior to the most ancient Yakut graves excavated.
