This model assumes that the initial weedy rice founder (effective population size ηp), split from an Oryza group (effective population size ηc) in Asia at time τs generations in the past. At time τf, lineages from the founder population, ηp, were introduced to the U.S. and experienced a bottleneck of size ηb before recovering to current population size ηr, instantaneously at time τg.
